Over the years Lefty Mann has gained experience in many different music styles and was featured in many different musical arenas. Whether it's playing in such college productions as Jesus Christ Superstar and Company, bopping in the C.W. Post Jazz Band, or rockin' in an 80's rock/funk band on Long island, Lefty has always added the edge. Lefty was influenced and studied with the ace guitarist Steve Bill on Long Island. Lefty went on to do club dates as a free-lance artist, which expanded his versatility and musical diversity. Moving to Connecticut, Lefty was featured in the rock/funk/blues band Second Childhood that went on to play major area gigs and was featured in a cable TV concert production. Relocating to New Jersey, Lefty provided the driving force behind the band NewRelic - which during its time played in many of the major clubs in New Jersey. Lefty is also in the process of writing and recording his own R&B CD. Over
the years, Lefty's influences can be traced to many diversified
guitarists from George Benson to Larry Carlton to Stevie Ray Vaughn to
Buddy Guy to Randy Rhodes to Eddie Van Halen.
While continuing to develop as a player, Lefty has also found
time to work with the well-known and versatile drummer Myles Mattison in
a gospel production and has played with many funk/horn bands including
City Lights and Function11. Currently, Lefty is smokin' with Jersey
shore's LuvKrazy
and also plays guitar with the hot private party/ funk band
High Street. |
